8-Hr Chapter 33 (Site Safety Manager Refresher) Wednesday

Purpose:
To renew a Site Safety Manager Certificate, the applicant must complete 8 hours of refresher training as mandated by Title 1 of the Rules of the City of New York § 104-06 Continuing Education Requirements.
To renew a Site Safety Coordinator Certificate, the applicant must complete 8 hours of refresher training as mandated by Title 1 of the Rules of the City of New York § 104-06 Continuing Education Requirements.
In order to continue to operate in the City of New York, the designated construction worker is required to complete a minimum number of hours of approved site safety training and to carry site safety identification cards as proof of completion of the training (As per New York City Local Law 196 of 2017 also known as ‘LL196’ or ‘Local Law’). This course provides eight hours towards the satisfaction of that requirement.
Course Length: 8 hours of instructional time, excluding breaks and meals.

Course Completion Requirements:
In order to receive a certificate of completion, students must:
Attend 100% of the course
Be active participants in all learning events, including final exam and hands-on activities.
Score 70% or higher on the written exam.
If a student does not pass the end-of-course assessment, he or she may retake the entire course for a discount fee of $180. Students who wish to take advantage of the reduced price must register and pay for another class within 6 months of the original course.
Make-Up Time: No make-up time is permitted for this course. Students who miss any portion of the training must make arrangements with NYC Safety Training Center to attend another course. Additional course fees may apply.
