Purpose: This course is a shortened version of the 40-Hour Site Safety Manager Course, and is required for qualified persons to obtain a Site Safety Coordinator Certificate; this course is also a Registration requirement for Construction Superintendents.

Course Length: 8 hours of instructional time, excluding breaks and meals.

Written Assessment

Course Completion Requirements:

In order to receive a 8-hour Site Safety Coordinator certificate of completion, students must:

Attend 100% of the course
Be active participants in all learning events, including final exam and hands-on activities.
Score 70% or higher on the written exam.

If a student does not pass the end-of-course assessment, he or she may retake the entire course for a discount fee of $170. Students who wish to take advantage of the reduced price must register and pay for another class within 6 months of the original course.

Make-Up Time: No make-up time is permitted for this course. Students who miss any portion of the training must make arrangements with NYC Safety Training Center to attend another course. Additional course fees may apply.

The cost of this training course does not include the site safety training (SST) card. The SST card is an additional $70 and can be requested and ordered by following the instructions here.
